What to do after a liquid spill?

Spilling liquid on a Mac is one of the most common and serious accidents. Speed of action is critical — every minute counts.

  • Immediately shut down the computer and unplug the power cable
  • Do not press any keys or try to switch the device on
  • Do not turn the computer over — liquid can reach undamaged components and cause further damage

Why is time critical?

Yes. We service MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with all Apple Silicon processors (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5), including battery replacement, screen replacement and logic board repair.

What should I do immediately after spilling liquid on my MacBook?+

Shut down the MacBook immediately and unplug the power. Do not switch it on and do not try to dry it. Do not turn it upside down. Bring it to iLabPro as soon as possible — professional liquid damage cleaning is more successful the faster you act.

Is it possible to recover data from a broken MacBook?+

In most cases yes. We offer data recovery from MacBooks that won't turn on, have a damaged SSD or have been exposed to liquid. Before each attempt we carry out a free assessment of the possibilities.

How long does a MacBook repair take?+

Simpler repairs such as battery replacement are often completed same day. Logic board repair or screen replacement typically takes 1–3 working days depending on the model and extent of the fault. We recommend calling or writing to us in advance so we can book you in.
